The Story Behind Quysine
Quysine is the result of Quy’s passion for food and over 15 years of experience in commercial kitchens. What began as a simple love for cooking has evolved into a journey across multiple cuisines. Throughout his career, Quy has developed his skills in Western, Asian, and Spanish cooking, shaping the versatile and creative approach that defines Quysine today.
Located on the edge of Cleveland’s town centre, Quysine is a welcoming tapas bar and restaurant designed for sharing, relaxing, and enjoying great food. Inspired by the spirit of tapas dining, our menu brings people together through small, flavourful plates in a warm and social atmosphere.We believe good food should be accessible to everyone. That’s why around 80% of our menu can be prepared gluten-free, along with a variety of vegetarian options to suit different dietary needs.
The name Quysine (pronounced kwi-zeen) is a blend of “Quy” — the founder’s name — and “cuisine,” reflecting a personal approach to food shaped by passion, culture, and experience.At Quysine, every dish tells a story — a blend of experience, culture, and passion, shared with every guest who walks through our doors.
